The mesh is also highly breathable which is perfect for the hot summer days. Without a doubt, the construction of the upper also allows some type of movement for overpronation due to the stretchy mesh materials. One of the issues of the upper can come with the redesigned tongue. It also prevents the tendons and muscles of the underfoot from being strained. I really liked the colors I wore for this review and have been impressed with some of the other color combinations I have seen. Is this much change good though? It sold me on this unique upper system that Saucony is going full steam ahead with.

Whichever the case, they can be among the most interesting options when it comes to cushioning and stability and a good update when it comes to fit. Are you planning on make all your shoes no fun to run in? But those running around city limits or on the track can find plenty of traction in the outsole. I got the shoe when it came out and ran the Chicago Marathon in it with just 30 miles of break. Both are around the same weight, cushioning, and have an 8mm drop. I was able to make turns quick and had no traction issues in inclement weather. I was skeptical going into this review because of it.

Saucony Guide ISO 2 Review

The underfoot platform is composed of two full-length foams that work together to provide a steady and comfortable base for the foot. They come with an energetic response and they represent one of the best solutions when it comes to long runs where feet can get tired. They overcorrect my gait and cause miserable shin and ankle pain. Though it received many satisfactory reviews, others could not help but compare it in favor of its predecessor. The Guide is narrower than the Adrenaline — both in the toebox and throughout the shoe, and it has a deeper toebox. Best for people with normal, high or medium high arches. Hey, thanks for the comment and questions.

This system of stretchy mesh and overlays adapts to the shape and motion of the foot, thereby giving a secure yet agreeable coverage. This shoe uses a combination of midsole foams to provide energetic cushioning and a stable ride. For others, like those with high arches, the change can come with some discomfort in the tongue area. It is a compound that promotes continuous cushioning and a higher return on liftoff. Midsole The main advantage of the running shoes is represented by their cushioning.

Trained marathon distances in them injury free. I think I could have run in them out of the box. For many runners, the shoes might even feel bouncy. The overlays wrapped onto my foot comfortably and gave a great fit. There was no problem with previous versions.

For most runners, this is seen as a good update. December 9th 2018 Comments: Excellent successor to the guide series. Best for runners with a low arch. With a lightweight profile, they can be perfect to hit the streets every day. Size And Fit Made true to size, the shoes cover the needs of most runners. The Adrenaline is higher than the Guide, and has a greater drop — which you feel when comparing them on-foot.

I found myself landing and lifting off mostly on my forefoot thanks to the 8mm drop. The supported heel helps you securely move forward with each step. I still have a pair of guide 7 that I use for yard work! I should have a review on the site by the end of the month. The arch is a little bulkier not offering as much flexibility; but gives a smoother ride and better ground control when my feet hit the ground. A stability post is added to the medial side of the platform. After ~200 miles, the inner lining at my heal has worn through.

I have use them for training and running events. But then again, as cushioning shoes, they are not really made for this purpose. This is my second pair of these shoes. I am now at 630 miles, and feel that they need replacing. If you have any other questions, let me know. When I first laced them up, they felt tight and stiff.

If you need any assistance with the form give the team a call at 800. The Guide has less room in the toebox and is a little narrower overall, with the 2000 being maybe a half size longer. Now I have very slowly gotten used to them but find them heavy and have lost 10-15% of my pace to it, which I hate. It held up well, and I am happy with it except for two issues: First, the sock liners have a tendency to come loose and wobble around to the point that they start folding over when the shoe gets a little wet. The difference is in the ride. Second, also a first, the upper in my big toe area got so thin that I could see my sock peeking through.
