It was my first shotgun, and I still use it frequently. If you take the butt stock off the reciever it should have a matching serial. Everything I find on the web says 1921 and later and the barrel code on the left side 3 ltrs doesn't work on the sites I find. The barrel appears to have been cut down long ago but appears to have been with the receiver for quite a long time due to the wear patterns. Do you know if it was Remington Model 11 and if so with what barel? Serialized parts all matched when they left the factory but the two or three digit barrel code will often predate the shotgun production date and not coincide with the production date.
